We can install graylog many different ways. One of recommend, fastest way to start with the OVA virtual machine appliances. You can run the OVA in many systems like VMware or Virtualbox. Here We will look at deploy graylog on VMware Esxi environments.
First download OVA images from graylog.org official website.
Then open VMware vcenter or Esxi host and import OVA image from Deploy OVF Template… under File menu:
Choose OVA image and follow steps as below Slides:
After deploying OVA start the VM and open console:
On the Console We can see all required login information. Here You can log into the shell of the operating system of the appliance with the user ubuntu and the password ubuntu. You should of course change those credentials. The standard user for the web interface is admin, the password is shown in the console of the virtual server on the first boot. You need to take a note this information.
