Today we will look at How to Update Firmware on HP Proliant DL380 Gen9.
Before to start the update process We need to insert the firmware update disc or bootable USB device at server power up. Hardware boot screens will appear. Please click on F11 to get boot menu:
In this case, I use the bootable USB device for update firmware:
We have 2 way to update the firmware. In this typical case, I will choose “Interactive Firmware Update”:
Select language, accept EULA and select Next:
Select the Firmware Update icon. HP SUM will load. This process will take approximately 4-5 minutes.
Click Next when the button becomes highlighted:
Choose all updates with select all and click on Deploy:
Required Updates are being installed
When complete, a page will display showing the packages that loaded. Click Reboot to finish.
You can check new updated firmware version with F9 System Utilities -> Select System Information/Firmware Information.
